Leading the Way in LASIK Technology
Offering Patients the Best Outcomes
At Lasik Vision Centers of Cleveland, we have invested in the best education for our staff and the latest bladeless LASIK technology to ensure that each of our patients has the best-possible LASIK surgery experience and outcome.
Many of the most frequently asked questions that our patients have about the LASIK process can be answered by watching the short videos below, detailing the advanced technology we use and the typical steps of laser eye surgery.
Depending on each patient’s unique vision, eye health, and eye shape, we will recommend the most customized LASIK treatment available: Contoura™ Vision or wavefront-optimized bladeless LASIK surgery.
Both procedures are bladeless and offer high-quality vision results.
Contoura™ Vision
Advanced LASIK Corneal Mapping Technology
Contoura™ Vision uses the WaveLight® TOPOLYZER® Vario, part of the most advanced corneal mapping technology in the world. It measures the corneal shape and surface and maps up to 22,000 elevation points on the cornea. The ALLEGRETTO WAVE™ Eye-Q Excimer Laser then adjusts the pulse placement of the laser to match the topography of the patient’s eye. This delivers the most customized LASIK treatment available—as unique to you as your fingerprint. At this time, approximately 40 percent of all LVC patients are eligible for Contoura™.
Standard LASIK
Wavefront Optimized Bladeless Technology
Intralase bladeless technology uses lasers in place of a mechanical cutting tool, called a microkeratome, which was originally used in LASIK eye surgery to cut the corneal flap. This surgery uses the most advanced bladeless technology available today, featuring the use of the WaveLight® FS200 Femtosecond Laser and the WaveLight® EX500 Excimer Laser. The WaveLight® FS200 Femtosecond Laser is used to generate custom corneal flaps through a highly precise, bladeless surgery, and once the corneal flap is created and folded back, the WaveLight® EX500 Excimer Laser is used to deliver personalized vision correction treatment.
